i feel weird. pictorially, my mind is a hugechaoticmess. kinda like my closet if you've ever seen it. i'm kinda overwhelmed by the immensity of this upcoming end of the semester, studying for finals and trying to finish off freshman year with a bang.
and then, there's ... that.
and that other thing.
oh, and that.
why-oh-why is this all happening when i need to focus on my studies the most? why is it that even when i'm trying to study, these distracting thoughts drown out everything else? why do i even keep thinking about these things?! it's just crazy--hitting me hard and no room to breathe. what to do, what to do. i want to forget about everything. take back a lot of stuff. and just study.
i absolutely have the bestest friend in the world. not only because she's fun to chill with, not only because i can trust her, not only because she makes me laugh, not only because she bakes me yummy treats. but because she cares about me and in the simplest acts, she really shows it.

super fun and relaxing weekend. too bad weekdays cant be like that. today, everything went wrong. i was about to smash the gt library computers. i walked home in the cool evening to calm down because i felt like beating someone up. thankfully, i gots me sum nice franz like 가은 who make me feel better. phew~ i wanna play sum vb right now so i can spike the ball in someone's face.

So the Bluetooth connection on my phone is so uncooperative. I'm leveling up to the Powershot. 12.1 megapixels baby! Anyway, I've been crazy shopping this week! Vintage and thrift stores and the mall. Goodness, I use way too much money -_- But I wanted to share with you guys a few of my favorite purchases!

I got these at the thrift store today for $1. The fur inside is ridiculously soft.

Yesterday was my stepbrother's birthday. We celebrated today with an awesome hibachi dinner and cake after which was way too adorable! I love Hansel & Gretel cakes. And Korean fresh cream and fruit cakes are the best! No disgusting sugary frosting, blehhh.
Speaking of cakes, I made a purple sweet potato cake a while back that I never got to post. It was so pretty! But it looked better than it tasted -_- Still, it wasn't that bad just not fluffy, chiffon-y, and perfect like the ones at Hansel & Gretel. I think I've been there 3 or 4 times total this week. Ridiculous, haha.
Sigh, my winter break is almost over. I'm kind of excited to be back at my dorm and to see everyone again but at the same time, I don't want to go to school. I'm going back to campus tomorrow, which is going to be the most depressing journey of my life. Aghhhh! School = Less blogging :(
I totally remember back when the Girl Power scene exploded in America. Goodness, I was in elementary school then. Spice Girls, Britney Spears, and Xena - The GP Triumvirate (according to me). I think this movement really influenced me though. Even to this day, I can proudly admit that I am a feminist. Okay, not those crazy B's who set their brassieres to flames, but I am purely an advocate of fair rights and equal opportunity. I take serious offense to discriminatory remarks about women. No, our place is not the kitchen. Don't tell me to look at the oven clock for the time. Not funny, really. Very unnecessary.
Mi madre is also a big source of inspiration. In my eyes, she is the epitome of the independent alpha female. Self-control, patience, ability to understand anyone, hard worker, and leader in any situation. And she's been through some rough times alone. I can't stand being alone. I don't know how she did it. I won't go into details, but my mom is definitely more than worthy of much respect. And plus, she's so cute. Teehee :)

But I started this post because I was watching some performances from the SBS 가요대전 2009 today. And a good bit of girl groups did popular boy group performances. &*$!*&#?%$#@! How cool is that?!?!?!! The Korean music industry has definitely been swamped in the year two-double-oh-nine by girl groups galore. Totally epic. And I absolutely love it! Especially because a lot of the girl groups collaborated! I think it's so hot when we're working together to dominate the males, ya know? It's like these girls used these performances as a declaration of a challenge in the Battle of the Sexes! Ha ha. But don't get me wrong, I love boy groups too! Oh how I love 2PM, Big Bang, and SHINee ♥
